Nameri National Park
Nameri National Park is situated in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam. It is famous for the wide range of animals and endangered species like white winged wood duck, Sloth Bear, Tiger Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, four varieties of Hornbill and a high density of Elephant population.
The nearest railway station is at Rangapara, which is 29 km away from Nameri National Park. The nearest airport is the Tezpur Airport, around 30 km away from Nameri National Park. Bus services are daily basis both day and night from various cities of Assam.
